Jodhpur University hostel, Jodhpur (1984); The design attempted to test and demonstrate suitable methods of providing comfort in the hot and dry climate of Rajasthan where energy conservation was a prime objective. The design, therefore, uses a favorable orientation, a massive structure, an air gap in the roof for insulation, reflective external finishes, deep sunshades and a wind tower to take advantage of the cool winds.
